Welcome! I'm Richard La China, founder and owner of Ninja Mountain Bike Performance. Ninja is dedicated to advancing the sport of mountain biking through expert coaching and innovative equipment. Recognized for our commitment to excellence and community support, we have received accolades such as the Entrepreneur of the Year awards (1999 and 2024), which reflect our ongoing efforts to enhance the mountain biking experience for all.
I am passionate about mountain biking and the positive impact it can have on individuals and communities. This passion led me to establish Ninja Mountain Bike Performance, where our team is dedicated to offering top-tier coaching and developing pioneering equipment. Our work in promoting the sport and supporting riders of all levels has been acknowledged with awards and in publications, a testament to the collective effort of our talented team.
La China began his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 11 and has since created multiple successful companies in various industries, including technology, real estate and mountain biking. La China will draw inspiration from Bill Gates’ quote, “Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose” during his Klamath IDEA Talk on Wednesday, June 14 at Brevada Brewhouse.
Ninja Mountain Bike Performance launched mountain biking skills clinics in 2010, expanding across forty U.S. states and establishing the company as an industry leader. The company hosts thousands of clinics annually with a team of over 250 certified mountain bike instructors. Richard's passion for innovation led him to expand the business into hard goods and secure patents, offering a range of portable mountain bike jump ramps, knee/elbow pads, and apparel.
Ninja Mountain Bike Performance was formed in 2010 by then-professional mountain bike racer, Richard La China. He used the knowledge acquired over his many years of racing to offer mountain biking skills clinics and help other riders feel stronger and more controlled on their bikes. The skills clinics became very popular, and demand quickly grew. In the years since, Ninja Mountain Bike Performance has become the largest mountain bike skills instruction company in North America.
If funny stories from pizza parlors take up too much of your time, scroll on down to The Dirt for our impressions and no-BS experience in these pads. So, last year our crew was in Klamath Falls, Oregon wrapping up our eMTB Destination Tour. After a big day of riding awesome trails, we headed into town to try the highly recommended Rodeo’s Pizza. While inside we hear a “Hey, aren’t you Loam Wolf?” We turn around and see two guys enjoying some delicious-looking pizza and say, “Yeah, that’s us!” Richard LaChina stands up to introduce himself as the owner of Ninja MTB products.
At Ninja, we believe in pushing the boundaries of what's possible in mountain biking through innovation and education. Our efforts have been recognized within the industry, helping us to continue growing and supporting the mountain biking community.
